Emerging Directions: The Crucial Issues for Change
The Ministerial Taskforce into Public Mental Health Services for Infants, Children and Adolescents aged 0-18 years in Western Australia (ICA Taskforce) is developing a whole of system plan for State Government funded specialist infant, child and adolescent mental health services delivered by WA Health Service Providers.
On behalf of the ICA Taskforce, the Mental Health Commission has released the paper, Emerging Directions: The Crucial Issues for Change.
The ICA Taskforce wishes to acknowledge the contribution of members of the Lived Experience, Clinical and Interagency Expert Working Groups.
Emerging Directions: The Crucial Issues for Change provides keys stakeholders in this critical discussion the opportunity to provide feedback on what the Taskforce has learned so far, and its evolving vision for the future of mental health care for children aged 0 to 18 in WA – including the scale of change required to achieve it.
Individuals, organisations and other stakeholders can provide feedback through an online feedback form.
The Mental Health Commission can provide assistance to those who may find it difficult to access the feedback mechanisms. Please contact CATaskforce@mhc.wa.gov.au
All submissions will be reviewed and taken into consideration as part of the development of the final report. However, given the number of submissions anticipated individual responses will not be able to be provided.
Submissions close 24 September 2021.
Submissions will not be made publicly available, however, the Mental Health Commission has a legal obligation to provide certain information if requested under the Freedom of Information Act 1992. Please be mindful of any confidential or personal identifying information in your responses.
