For schools

Schools and early learning services have a range of mental health, alcohol and other drug programs to choose from, to support their students to learn.

The Mental Health Commission funds the Aussie Optimism, School Drug Education and Road Aware program, as well as the Schools Suicide Response program through the Department of Education.

We also fund beyondblue, which has created the Be You program to support early learning services and schools.

You can find also find a list of mental health and wellbeing programs for school and early learning services at the Programs Directory.

If you are a teacher and have a child that is struggling with their mental health, please consult your school psychologist.

If you are a parent, you can find information from the Department of Education on what to expect from your school here or information on young people and mental health here.
