Your Experience of Service (YES) survey

Mental health consumers' experiences of health care have long been identified by services, consumers, carers and families as being important in understanding how health services are performing and to drive service quality improvement.

The Your Experience of Service (YES) survey is designed to gather information from consumers about their experiences of care. It aims to help mental health services and consumers work together to build better services. The survey was developed with mental health consumers and is based on the recovery principles of the National Standards for Mental Health Services.

Since 2018, the Mental Health Commission has been conducting annual State-wide YES survey snapshots across Western Australia’s publicly funded specialised mental health services.
