Mental Health Commission
The Mental Health Commission supports several organisations to conduct training and workforce development on its behalf.
SafeSide Prevention
SafeSide Prevention’s programs and offerings are built around best practices and evidence-based suicide prevention.
SafeSide Prevention's programs include:
A program designed for first responders and justice organisations. This interactive training strengthens team cohesion, builds personal resilience, and enhances peer support while reducing hidden suicide risk. It helps enable team leaders to proactively care for their people, moving beyond individual detection and intervention to foster a genuinely supportive organisational environment.
A workforce education program for mental health, alcohol and other drugs, and youth services that provides a framework of evidence-based and best practices in suicide prevention.
This program teaches an evidence-based suicide-specific treatment that reduces suicidal ideation and emphasises a collaborative approach between clinicians and patients.
A supportive leadership forum and learning community, it provides a collaborative space for people and organisations working to create a more restorative and learning-focused culture as part of their suicide prevention work. Members are supported with an extensive online resource library.

Mental Health First Aid
Mental Health First Aid is the help provided to a person developing a mental health problem or who is in a mental health crisis, until appropriate professional treatment is received or until the crisis resolves.
