The Live Chat service is operated by the Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Support Service in Western Australia for the purpose of providing mental health, alcohol and drug counselling and support for the benefit of the public. The Live Chat service is provided free of charge for residents of Western Australia and operates from 7am to 9:30pm, seven days a week.

Our assessments and counselling are based on the information you choose to share with us. While our counsellors will make every effort to assist you with the issues or problems you identify - you are in the best position to determine how relevant this information is to your situation. Services provided by the Alcohol and Drug Support Line are not a substitute for independent professional advice from your own or another health professional.
The Alcohol and Drug Support Line is a confidential service, however if we are concerned about your safety or the safety of another person, our duty of care will override this. A transcript of your chat will be stored in accordance with State government record keeping policies.
