Experience of Service Surveys

Experience of Service surveys are nationally developed tools to help services monitor and improve experience as part of an evidence-informed quality improvement program.

Why this research matters

Services can actively partner with service users and their carers to enhance the quality of care and deliver better outcomes for all, by collecting feedback from those with a living and lived experience.

Who can complete a survey?

Experience of Service surveys can be completed by both service users, and their carers.

  1. Service users of public specialised mental health services complete the Your Experience of Service (YES) survey.
  2. Carers of public specialised mental health service users, including family members, partners, friends or significant others, complete the Mental Health Carer Experience Survey (CES).
