State Government to develop a WA Workforce Strategy

The State Government is developing Western Australia’s Workforce Strategy (Strategy) – a long-term plan to ensure WA has a sustainable pipeline of skilled, productive workers to support the state’s priority industries.

The Strategy will give key stakeholders across WA’s priority industries a shared understanding of the state’s future workforce needs and outline the short, medium and long-term levers that support the development of a strong, sustainable, resilient and future-ready workforce.

Industry will play a leading role in shaping the Strategy, providing input on the challenges and opportunities that exist in their industry and the levers they believe will have the greatest impact on strengthening their industry’s workforce.

Stakeholders are invited to contribute their insights through a short questionnaire. Consultation closes on Thursday 30 April 2026.
