Mental Health Commission
WA’s Ambulance Mental Health Co-response service has expanded to provide coverage to east, north and south metropolitan health service catchment areas.
The service operates through a partnership between the Mental Health Commission, Department of Health, St John WA and north, south and east metropolitan health services.
It continues to offer virtual triage and a mobile response team to Triple Zero (000) callers aged 16 years and above, where mental health is the primary concern.
The expansion of the service will provide early intervention across the metropolitan area and help more people experiencing a mental health crisis avoid emergency department admissions.
