Mental Health Commission
The State Government has awarded the Broome Step Up/Step Down (SUSD) building contract to EMCO Building.
Once built, the six-bed residential SUSD service will provide short-term support for adults experiencing mental health issues, close to community, friends and family.
The SUSD model of care supports people to develop strategies to manage their wellbeing to avoid hospital admission.
It also provides support to help residents transition back into their home and community by building healthy routines and coping strategies.
