The Mental Health Commission (Commission) has developed the Western Australian Mental Health Workforces Capability Framework, a key step forward in strengthening the state’s mental health workforce and enhancing the delivery of person-centred, high-quality care.

The Framework was developed through extensive consultation with stakeholders including the Commission, Department of Health, WA Health Service Providers, and peak professional bodies.

The Framework provides a shared foundation for how mental health professionals across Western Australia’s public sector can work together more effectively to support people experiencing mental health challenges.
