The Mental Health Commission (Commission) recognises the need for building and developing a skilled and diverse workforce that can collectively support progress towards achieving our strategic objectives – to enhance our value, performance, and impact on our systems and services, to better meet the needs of individuals, families, carers, and communities across Western Australia. 

The Commission’s Graduate Program is an 18-month appointment providing participants with a range of development opportunities across the agency. Graduates will move through six-month rotations across different divisions, working on projects with teams committed to graduate development.

Who can apply

Eligibility criteria to be considered for the graduate program:

  • You must have successfully completed a tertiary qualification within the past two years, or evidence the degree is due to be completed by December 2025. The tertiary qualification must be a minimum of an undergraduate degree (Bachelor’s degree or higher), and any degree discipline is acceptable;
  • Applicants must be under 25 years of age;
  • You will need proof of eligibility to work in the WA public sector (for example, Australian citizenship certificate, permanent residency visa).
