Expressions of Interest – Mental Health Network Clinical Co-Lead

Published on 27 Sep 2019

Dr Helen McGowan’s contract in the Clinical Co-Lead position for the Mental Health Network (MHN) was due to expire at the end of October, however to allow for a thorough recruitment and handover period, and ensure continuity of the Clinical Co-Lead position, Dr McGowan has agreed to continue in the role until the end of January 2019.

As Clinical Co-Lead, Dr McGowan’s dedication, enthusiasm, passion and commitment since the inception of the MHN in 2014 has been greatly appreciated. Her knowledge of the Western Australian health system, both governance and operations, has been highly valued and without a doubt, helped in supporting the smooth transition of the MHN governance from the Department of Health (DoH) to the Mental Health Commission (MHC) in 2017.

We thank Helen for her commitment over the past five years. Her guidance and leadership has set a solid base for the continuation of growth within the MHN. Helen’s contribution is well regarded by the MHC, DoH, Community Co-Lead, Executive Advisory Group and the multiple Sub Network Members.

We wish Helen continued success in her future endeavours and look forward to her ongoing involvement in the MHN in other capacities to ensure a seamless transition for the Network.
