Expressions of Interest for Advisory Group - Crisis intervention for alcohol and other drugs

Published on 23 Dec 2019

The Mental Health Commission is seeking Expressions of Interest from community members to participate on an advisory group regarding crisis intervention for alcohol and other drugs (AOD) in WA.

We are looking for approximately ten people to provide advice and recommendations regarding how to address gaps in the provision of alcohol and other drug short term critical intervention services.

The establishment of an appropriate crisis intervention response would provide a short-term place for alcohol and other drug users when they are in crisis that will keep them, their families and the community safe, including in the regional areas.

It is expected that Advisory Group meetings will initially be held fortnightly, commencing in February 2020 and continuing regularly through to May 2020, with a final session likely to be conducted in late June 2020.

Meetings will be held at the Mental Health Commission (1 Nash Street, Perth) and paid participation is offered at the Advisor Tier of $70/hour in line with the MHC Consumer, Family, Carer and Community Paid Partnership Policy
