Do you have Lived Experience of a Step Up Step Down service in WA?

We are reviewing Step Up Step Down services in Western Australia and want to hear about your journey and experiences.

If you have been or are a current service user of Step Up Step Down services, or a family member/carer/significant other of a service user, we want to hear from you!

On behalf of the Mental Health Commission (Commission), Ernst and Young (EY) will be hosting a series of face-to-face focus groups throughout March and April across Joondalup, Rockingham, Albany, Bunbury, Geraldton and Kalgoorlie that will contribute to the review of Step Up Step Down services.

Step Up Step Down services in the state include:

  • Joondalup service by Neami National
  • Rockingham Kwelena service by Mind Australia
  • Bunbury service by Richmond Wellbeing
  • Kalgoorlie service by Neami National
  • Geraldton service by Neami National
  • Albany service by Neami National

We are seeking individuals to attend these focus groups who have:

  1. personal lived experience of Step Up Step Down services; 
  2. lived experience as a carer, family member or supporter of someone who has accessed Step Up Step Down services.

To express your interest in participating in a focus group please fill out this form by 5pm Friday 17 March 2023. We will be in touch to communicate further details, and to provide you with an opportunity to ask any questions prior to your engagement. There will be payments for engaging in a focus group, as per the Commission’s Paid Participation Policy.

The survey should take between 10 to 15 minutes to complete. You can leave the survey and come back to complete it at any time. Your responses will be auto saved you complete them.

The survey closes at 5pm on Tuesday 11 April 2023.

All survey responses will be collected and reviewed by EY. All responders will remain anonymous and no personal or sensitive information will be shared externally to EY. Survey responses will be collated, and findings provided in an aggregate summary.
