COVID-19 update for service providers - Mask Supply
1 February 2021
The Mental Health Commission (MHC) and Department of Communities are working together, along with the Department of Finance to ensure that you are kept up to date and can access direct assistance in relation to the COVID-19 lockdown.
During the five-day lockdown, people are required to wear masks outside of the home and at work.
The WA Government has commenced distributing masks to key locations.
Perth and Peel providers
The MHC has initiated orders for all MHC service providers in the Perth and Peel areas based on guidance from the Department of Finance, to support your operations for the next five days. Deliveries are being arranged by courier to service providers, from today, which we expect will be delivered within the next 24 hours.
South West providers
MHC service providers in the South West can collect masks from the following Department of Communities offices:
Bunbury: Communities Housing Office - 22 Forrest Avenue
Busselton: Communities Office - 88 Kent Street
Collie: Communities Child Protection Office - 68 Wittenoom Street
Manjimup: Communities Child Protection Office - Lot 432 South West Hwy
Please contact these offices if you have any questions about how to access the supplies.
If you have an immediate issue, any enquires, or further requirements, please contact NGOCommunitySupport@mhc.wa.gov.au.
Communities and the MHC are meeting daily with the community sector peak organisations to address any emerging issues or concerns. We will continue to keep you updated with further information as it comes to hand.
Thank you for your hard work ensuring the safety of our community.
