Community Advisory Group appointed for alcohol and other drug crisis intervention

The Mental Health Commission has established a new Community Advisory Group to help consider what services are necessary to help fill the gaps for individuals and families in crisis from alcohol or other drugs.

The advisory group will provide advice and recommendations to the Mental Health Commission on current gaps in services for alcohol and other drug crisis intervention.

The group’s work will inform the development of a better system that can more effectively help people in crisis due to drug use.

The group is comprised of consumer and family representatives. The full list of names are below.

Community members will also have the opportunity to provide additional input at workshops held in metropolitan and regional areas from March. Details of the first two workshops are:

Cockburn Central - Wednesday 25 March 2020, 1pm-4pm

Joondalup - Thursday 2 April 2020, 1pm-4pm
