Coming Soon To The Big Screen

The Mental Health Commission’s Drug Aware has taken its ‘Meth Can Take Control’ Campaign to the big screen.

The campaign which is managed by the Mental Health Commission in partnership with Curtin University is targeted toward young people at-risk of, or trialling, methamphetamine use.

The campaign includes the cinema advert ‘The Law’ which will be in cinemas on June 1. This video also won best Cinema/Television Commercial at the Campaign Brief Perth Awards 2017.

Prevention Services Director Gary Kirby said it was important to show real life examples as it was those stories that hit home with the target audience.

“These stories demonstrate some of the health, social and legal consequences of use showing how someone using methamphetamines can lose control of their lives,” he said.
