60 extra treatment beds for meth users

An extra 60 beds are now available for people who want treatment for methamphetamine addiction.

The 52 rehabilitation beds and eight low-medical withdrawal beds are available in Perth, South-West, Goldfields, Mid-West and Pilbara as part of the Mental Health Commission’s meth initiative.

The new beds are available at Cyrenian House (20) and Palmerston (eight) in Perth, Abbotsford Private Hospital near Nannup (16), Hope Community Services in the Mid-West (10), the Goldfields Rehabilitation Services Inc in Kalgoorlie (four) and Yaandina Family Centre in the Pilbara (two).
