Stay Strong, Look After You and Your Mob

'Stay Strong, Look After You and Your Mob’ is a public health education media campaign, promoting social and emotional wellbeing (SEWB) to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people throughout Western Australia who are 18 years and older.

The campaign aims to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to gain and maintain optimal levels of SEWB care and support.

The Campaign was originally developed in May 2022 by the Mental Health Commission’s Strong Spirit Strong Mind Aboriginal Programs team in partnership with the Cancer Council WA, as a component of the Strong Spirit Strong Mind Youth Project. 

In market from February to July 2023, the current campaign encourages Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to ‘Spend time with your mob’, with key messages providing practical strategies to support families and communities maintain social and emotional wellbeing.  The key message are;

  • Spend time with your mob
  • Do things that make you happy
  • Connect to country and culture
  • Yarn to someone you trust
  • Stay active

People across WA can see and hear more of the campaign on social media, in out of home / outdoor advertising locations and on radio.
