Consumer, carer and family forums in the Kimberley region.

Registrations are now open for two Consumer, Carer and Family Forums one in each of the East and West Kimberley to inform the development of alcohol and other drug (AOD) services in the Kimberley region.

Funding of $200,000 has been allocated from the Royalties for Regions Program for the Mental Health Commission (MHC) to identify and undertake planning regarding gaps in AOD treatment services (and co-occurring mental health) in the Kimberley.
The Mental Health Commission has engaged the Nous Group, to assist with undertaking the consultation with a range of people which including consumers, carers and families.

The forums will be held:

  • 3 September 2018 (Broome) 9.00am – 12.00pm; and
  • 4 September 2018 (Kununurra) 10.00am – 1.00pm.
