Forensic Mental Health Sub Network
The Mental Health Network includes a unique Sub Network structure.
The Forensic Mental Health Sub Network was established on 4 December 2015, to address the difficulty in coordinating such a large network and to support the
Mental Health Network to engage with and improve outcomes for specific cohorts of mental health service users.
The establishment of the Forensic Mental Health Sub Network followed a thorough process that sought to be inclusive, representative and reflect the concerns and views of the sector. The Forensic Mental Health Sub Network has a broad membership that is supported by a Steering Group and is sponsored by the State Forensic Mental Health Service,
North Metropolitan Health Service, who provide administrative support.
The Steering Group is co-chaired by Ms Margaret Doherty and Ms Lesley Barr.
The Forensic Mental Health Sub Network Establishment Report provides background on this Sub Network and can be found here.
